Originally composed as a study for my saxophone quartet 'Swan' this piece exists in versions for oboe or soprano saxophone solo.
The music explores several different processes of accretion then places the results into a kind of montage structure. It is cast in two long sections, slow then fast, and the piece lasts for approximately seven minutes.
